Overview
The Computer Science BS degree provides a strong foundation in theory, applications and systems, and gives you skills to innovate computing solutions that can be applied to any field. The educational experience we provide emphasizes lab-based hands-on learning. Major-level classes are small, and students select CS electives in specialty areas such as Machine Learning, Computer Graphics, Bioinformatics, Virtual Reality, Computing Education, Natural Language Processing, Human-Centered Design and many more. The senior capstone provides students with a year-long software design or research project experience. We offer many opportunities to enrich your education outside of the classroom, expand your connections, and build your path to an exciting career, including:
