Educational & Professional Experience:

Michael Tsikerdekis was an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky and a founding faculty member of the undergraduate and graduate Information Communication Technology (ICT) program. A native of Greece, he received his Ph.D. degree in Informatics (Computer Science) from Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic. Michael has authored several publications in mainstream computer science, security and information science venues including CACM, IEEE TIFS, JASIST. His work is situated at the intersection of Computer Science and Social Systems, while his research interests revolve around detecting and preventing online deception and related social engineering attacks.
