About
Dr. Xuhang Gu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Western Washington University. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Louisiana State University. His research focuses on building secure, reliable, and intelligent cloud computing systems through the integration of distributed systems, cybersecurity, computer networking, and artificial intelligence.
Research Interests:
Dr. Gu’s research interests include cloud security, distributed systems, and machine learning for systems. His recent work has focused on cloud infrastructure performance, dependency-aware resource management, low-volume DDoS attack detection and mitigation, workflow integrity verification, and machine learning–based anomaly detection for cloud applications.
