Why be a CS, Secondary Ed. Pre-Major?
By signing-up as a Computer Science, Secondary Ed. Pre-Major you can start your journey to become a Computer Science educator on the best pathway! Benefits of becoming a pre-major include:
- Advising sessions & resources specific to the CS, Secondary Ed. program
- Staying informed on upcoming events or workshops related to Computer Science education
- Advice & resources on how to gain experience in educational settings with K12 students
- Access to CS, Secondary Ed Pre-Major Courses such as: CSCI 241, CSCI 330, DATA 311, and an elective option CSCI 247
Students that have completed or are in the process of completing CSCI 141 are encouraged to sign-up to become a CS, Secondary Ed. Pre-Major.
Priority deadline for applications to the Computer Science (BAE) Pre-Major will only be accepted during weeks 1-5 of fall, winter, and spring quarter. At the end of week 5 students will meet with the program advisor and be granted pre-major status in time for Phase I of registration. Sign-ups submitted after week 5 will be processed at the end of the quarter.
